According to Guangming Daily, Chen Haoxiong, deputy minister of China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said that China has a solid foundation for accelerating 5G commercialization. Chen Shaoxiong said that accelerating the pace of 5G commercialization is conducive to supporting the digital transformation of the service economy and society, while promoting the formation of a strong domestic market.
In terms of standard setting, Chinese companies are now fully involved in the formulation of 5G international standards, strengthening 5G international cooperation, and working with international companies to promote the formation of a global unified 5G standard . The 5G vision, concept and demand put forward by China have been highly recognized by the International Organization for Standardization, and many key technologies such as the new network architecture have been adopted by international standards organizations.
In terms of R&D testing, domestic and foreign companies have built a multi-vendor public testing environment to promote relevant testing work in an orderly manner. At present, the third phase of 5G technology R&D trial has been basically completed. Huawei , ZTE, Datang and other enterprises have reached pre-commercial level in IF system equipment. Qualcomm, HiSili and other chip companies are expected to provide commercial chip products in the near future. However, Chen Shaoxiong reminded that China's 5G development still faces many challenges such as the shortcomings of the industrial base, the lack of integration and application, and the increasingly fierce international competition. It is necessary for all parties in production, education and research to work together and jointly.
